The number of electric vehicle owners increased in the first three months of the year.

Figures from the Department for Transport suggest there were over 860,000 on UK roads in the first quarter of 2026.

That’s an increase of more than 271,000 compared to the same period last year.

Kingston and Sutton have been awarded £886,000 to increase the number of on-street EV charging points across the boroughs.
