The NHS is calling for younger donors to give blood.

There are currently more donors over the age of 45 than under for the first time in 5 years.

Older people now make up 51% of regular donors, overtaking 17 to 44-year-olds who had been in the majority since 2018.

NHS Blood and Transplant is calling for younger donors to sign up at its Plasma Donor Centre on London Road in Twickenham.
