The National Grid says it’s ‘deeply sorry’ for the disruption caused by the nearby fire which meant Heathrow had to close.

The operator of the energy network says power’s been restored and it’s working with police to understand how the flames started.

The airport is putting on extra flights to help clear the backlog.
