The MP who’s brought forward a proposed law on assisted dying has appealed for her colleagues to back it ahead of a crunch vote this afternoon.

Kim Leadbeater says it if doesn’t pass it’ll mean many more years of heartbreaking stories from terminally ill people and their families.

But the leader of the Liberal Democrats and MP for Kingston and Surbiton, Sir Ed Davey, is strongly against it.
