The minister for technology says he sympathises with people who may lose the ability to make phone calls.

From 2025, all phones will go through broadband lines meaning you’ll have to have the internet in order to use your landline.

The government is being asked to push the switch back to 2026.

But this isn’t something the minister, Sutton MP, Paul Scully, has confirmed will happen.
