The Met Police has been removed from special measures after more than two years.

His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire and Rescue Services says good progress has been made by the force.

It had been put into special measures following criticism it faced after the death of Sarah Everard.

The 33 year old was abducted from the streets of Clapham and murdered by serving Met police officer Wayne Couzens.
