It says that it received 7,751 emergency calls, partly due to the hot weather.
The service is asking people to only call 999 in a life-threatening situation, and that people can get urgent advice from 111.
It adds that they’re maximising the amount of staff on duty and working with hospitals to ensure patients are handed over quickly.
