The largest housing regeneration project in Merton Council’s 59 year history will begin this afternoon.

More than 2,500 homes are being built on the Eastfields estate in Mitcham.

The scheme will represent the largest supply of new homes in the borough over the next 15 years.

Clarion Homes, the UK’s largest housing association, is the project lead.
