The King has praised South Korea’s pop culture during a state banquet for its president at Buckingham Palace.

His Majesty made reference to popular Netflix series Squid Game – while lamenting on this:

The event was attended by K-Pop royalty – with South Korean girlband Blackpink among the guests.

The King also paid tribute to the 140th anniversary of the country’s diplomatic relationship with the UK.

Earlier this month, the King met members of the Korean community in New Malden.
