Ed Miliband says ‘obviously’ he stands by what the government’s doing in something known as collective responsibility.
He went on to say the airport’s expansion plans in west London must ‘meet strict carbon budgets and local environmental standards.’
Mr Miliband had previously threatened to resign over the proposals to build a third runway at the airport in 2009 and voted against the expansion in 2018.
But speaking earlier, he said he believes there’s a way expansion “can be done.”
