The centenary of the Northern Line’s extension to Morden is being marked today with a treasure hunt.

Opened in 1926, the extension brought the Underground deep into south London for the first time.

Its seven stations were designed by architect Charles Holden and were known for their striking modernist architecture.

More than 25,000 entries and exits take place at Morden on “most” weekdays.
