Karen Findlay, who also coaches Harlequins Women’s rugby team, was subject to homophobic, misogynistic, and sexist comments online.
In the statement, Chief Constable Lucy D’Orsi said “I am disappointed her achievements aren’t the focus of the conversation”.
“We welcome conversations about policing, actions, and how we can improve. But let me be clear, I will not accept bullying”.
