TfL has apologised to businesses in Hook after signage went up saying parking bays would be out of action for a year.

An electric vehicle charging point is being installed on the slip road at Ace of Spades roundabout.

But shop owners say they were shocked when signage put up stated that work would finish in February 2026, a year later.

Business owners say they depend on the bays in the slip road being “in action” so shoppers can access their premises easily.

A Transport for London spokesperson says the actual dates of the work are February the 17th to March the 31st.

The order for the suspension can be in place for 12 months which is why the bay suspension notice shows the maximum end date in 2026.
