TfL has added wildflower verges near Heathrow and Hounslow, boosting London’s total by 130,000m², a 50% increase this year.

These verges support pollinators, improve biodiversity, and help store carbon.

TfL now manages 390,000m² of wildflower space, aiming for 520,000m² by 2026.

To mark London Climate Action Week, 12,000 wildflower seed packets were given to Londoners to grow at home.
