Tennis doubles players say it will be “impossible to make a living” from the sport after being told by the ATP Tour that prize money and tournament sizes will decrease from 2028.

The percentage of cash devoted to doubles players at tournaments could fall from 20% to 10% with money redistributed to singles players.

A group of players have released a statement, saying they are not “a carnival sideshow”

The proposal doesn’t affect Grand Slam tournaments like Wimbledon.
