The volunteer crew also saved three lives, held 102 water safety and 43 fundraising events over the 12 months.

2024 also saw the charity mark its 200th anniversary.

Volunteer crew members attended a special service at Westminster Abbey and took part in an historic boat row at Henley Regatta.

There was also a special Open Day at Teddington lifeboat station, a 200k relay run around the lock island and a 200k cycle ride.

Tower in central London remains the busiest lifeboat station in the UK followed by Chiswick.

Matt Allchurch, Lifeboat Operations Manager, said, ‘the achievements of all of our crew whether rescuers, educators, safety team, fundraisers, or advisors are commendable. Every member of Teddington RNLI is a volunteer. They give their time, expertise and often sleep for the good of our community. Everything that they have done in our 200th Anniversary year has been impressive and made a real difference. Look out for news of what is happening in 2025.’
