Emma Raducanu’s Grand Slam tennis return has come to an end at the second round stage of the Australian Open.
She needed a medical time out in the deciding set of her 2-1 defeat to Wang Yafan.
It was the former US Open champion’s first major tournament since the same event in Melbourne last year, following wrist and ankle injuries.
British number one Katie Boulter was also knocked out this morning – in straight sets to China’s Qinwen Zheng.
In the men’s draw, Cameron Norrie came through a weather affected five-setter with Giulio Zeppieri to book his place in round three.
Jack Draper won’t be joining him though, after losing to American Tommy Paul, who he beat on his way to the Adelaide International final last week.
