Inspectors praised same-day equipment delivery, which helps people stay independent and avoid unnecessary care.
However, the council says it acknowledges ongoing challenges, including long occupational therapy waits and safeguarding delays.
Bosses say they have already taken action to improve waiting times and strengthen carer support.
Councillor Marian James, Lead Member for Adult Social Care, said: “We are incredibly proud to receive a ‘Good’ rating from the CQC. This is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and compassionate approach of our staff and partners, and shows their commitment to serving Sutton’s residents. I want to thank all the residents, staff and partners who took part in this assessment.
“I’m especially pleased to see that the CQC recognised our commitment to making Sutton an inclusive borough for all, noting that we have placed equity at the forefront of our vision, strategy, and workplace culture.
“The assessment also noted the good progress we’re making in improving support for unpaid carers, and I look forward to continuing to work with local carers to shape the delivery of Sutton’s Carers Strategy.”
Rachael MacLeod, Chief Executive of Sutton Carers Centre, said: “Our sincere congratulations to the staff and leadership at Sutton Council on achieving a ‘good’ CQC rating. We’re also grateful to the many residents and partners who shared their experiences, insights and expertise to inform this outcome.
“It has been a privilege to work together, and we look forward to continuing our collaboration — particularly to ensure that Carers and their families receive the recognition and support they need and deserve.”
