All eight of the council’s libraries are now open from 8am to 9pm, Monday to Friday, and from 9am to 6pm on Sundays.
They all have self-access times which means they can still be used for book borrowing and other activities when there are no staff on site.
The council says the savings made with this new model have been crucial in ensuring it is able to balance its budget.
