Surrey’s four days of VE Day commemorations will come to a close tomorrow with a special beacon lighting at Epsom Downs.

The event is part of a national chain of beacon lighting events.

Epsom’s beacon will be lit at 9.30pm.

A public proclamation will also take place at Epsom’s iconic Clocktower in the Marketplace tomorrow at 9am.
