Surrey’s custody suite volunteers have dedicated 700 hours to their work in the last 12 months.

Independent Custody Visitors make unannounced visits to Surrey Police’s three suites in Guildford, Salford and Staines.

They must be over 18, live or work in the county, and able to carry out one visit per month to chat with detainees.
