Surrey’s ambulance service is urging people to use 999 “wisely” this Easter.

SECAmb says it is expecting to handle some 10,000 calls over the bank holiday.

More than 20,000 calls are expected to be made to NHS 111 with
1,200 “potentially avoidable” requests for repeat prescriptions.

We’re being asked to only dial 999 in the event of an emergency.
