Surrey police say they are continuing to see a rise in the number of keyless car thefts across the county.

Officers say most thieves use a device which can relay the car’s key fob signal from within a property to trick a car into opening.

Vehicles are also often targeted when left unlocked overnight.

Officers are advising owners to have the correct measure installed, including immobilisers, and storing keys in signal blocking pouches.
