Around 250 hours of foot patrols are now being carried out each month in hot spots and retail centres.
Two burglars were caught in Walton, a car meet broken up in Brooklands, and two men in balaclavas stopped in Thames Ditton are some of the results of recent patrols.
Officers say the patrols are also helping gather community intelligence to target those causing the most harm.
