Surrey County Council is investing a further £125,000 to help schools across the county adapt to the impacts of climate change.

Schools can apply for £5,000 to £10,000 grants to fund measures such as tree planting, green walls, drainage systems and shade structures.

Last year, £120,000 supported 21 schools, with Surrey also topping England’s Eco Schools Green Flag awards for the third year running.

Applications are open until the 31^st of July, with schools encouraged to adopt sustainable practices and share best practice.
