Staff and students at Kingston University have been paying tribute to their former Chancellor and Honorary Professor Bonnie Greer.

The acclaimed novelist and commentator passed away on Tuesday at the age of 77 following a short illness.

Bonnie became Chancellor of the University in 2013, following a period as visiting professor.

Born in Chicago in 1948, she moved to London in 1986 and was made an OBE in 2010 for her services to the Arts.
