Surrey County Council and its 11 district and borough councils are currently undergoing the process of Devolution.

Surrey was one of 6 areas of the UK told by central Government that it needed to start the process this year.

It’s not yet been determined how many unitary councils will remain after Devolution in the county.

However, all councils are required to have a strategy in place for how they will work to prevent homelessness up to 2030.

Spelthorne has published its currently strategy but says it understands how it is brought forward will be down to the new authority.
