It’s after the authority was told in the summer that the site would be taken over by the government to house male asylum seekers.
Spelthorne’s councillors have repeatedly voiced opposition to the move and wrote to the Prime Minister and Home Secretary.
The Private Secretary to the Minister for Border Security and Asylum has now acknowledged receipt of the council’s correspondence.
Their letter states that a full response will be provided to the Leader of the Council, Joanne Sexton.
The council says a reason for the lack of response cited was unexpected delays and apologies were offered for the time taken.
