Southwestern Railway has named Staines as the 100th of its stations to be adopted by community volunteers.

More than half of the operators’ stations have now been adopted as part of an initiative to engage with its communities.

It is helping the adoption groups to enhance station spaces and environments creating ways to enhance customer experience.

Staines Station was also named Medium Station of the Year at the National Railway Awards last week.
