Sir David Attenborough has stepped aside as the narrator of one of the brand-new episodes for the hit docu-series Planet Earth III.

The announcement comes as the world marks Earth Day.

The broadcaster and naturalist, who lives in Richmond, has handed over his scripts, as a one off, to 50 children to voice.

The synopsis for the episode, on BBC iplayer now, explains “You don’t have to be Sir David Attenborough to become a voice for nature.”
