It’s part of Merton Council’s £2 million borough-wide CCTV upgrade to help capture better quality footage for law enforcement.
The project involves replacing all of the public space cameras to high-definition as well as upgrading the fibre optic network.
There are more than 200 cameras monitored 24/7 across the borough.
