Schools across Sutton have signed a special legislation to pledge to improve pupil attendance.

London’s Inclusion Charter was set up by the Mayor of London’s Violence Reduction Unit.

Research by the Education Policy Institute states that children with high levels of absence are less likely to be identified with SEND.

This means they could miss out on vital support.
