Richmond Council says it has written to a number of people in the borough who it says could be eligible for help with bills.

The Government’s Attendance Allowance scheme is additional income that you can apply for when you reach State Pension Age.

It’s for retirees who need help with care, or regular support and assistance.

It ignores any income or savings you may have and is available to people who have needed support for at least six months.
