Richmond Council is preparing to host a public meeting about Thames Water’s abstraction plans in Teddington.

The utilities company wants to take water from the Thames and transfer it to the Lee Valley reservoirs in East London.

Treated recycled water from Mogden sewage treatment works would then replace the water taken.

The council says it stands unanimously against the plan and the public meeting will take place at York House in Twickenham on the 27th.
