Residents in Cobham, Leatherhead and Sutton are being thanked for saving nearly 700,000 litres of water per day.

SES Water says this is due to their customers getting on top of plumbing repairs, water efficiency visits and water saving devices.

In the past year a total of 303 leaks have been reported and 2,471 people have registered for water saving platform, GetWaterFit.

More than 525,000 extra litres has been saved per day compared to the previous year.
