Reports that Chelsea FC owners want to buy a stake in Sporting Lisbon have not gone down well in Portugal

Belenenses FC president Patrick Morais de Carvalho said it would be an affront to Portuguese football if Chelsea bought a stake in the club.

Blues owners, Clearlake Capital, are looking to expand their portfolio of clubs after buying a majority stake in French side Strasbourg in the summer.
