It’s thought the Mayor of London is going to be knighted in the New Year’s Honours.

Sadiq Khan, the first Muslim Mayor of the capital, is expected to be awarded for his political and public service.

He won a third term as Mayor in May and was also MP for Tooting before he left the Commons in 2016.

He will hold his fist public People’s Question Time in over a year next week in Wandsworth.

But for security reasons, ticket holders won’t find out where it’s taking place until two days before.
