Repairs are due to start on the two River Thames footbridges at Teddington Lock at the end of the month.

There are on average over 5,000 pedestrian and nearly 2,000 cycle movements over the bridges on a typical weekday.

The number increases to nearly 10,000 at the weekends.

Repairs to the Suspension Footbridge and Lockcut Iron Truss will include the replacement of the southern approach ramp.
