Queen Mary’s Hospital in Roehampton is to keep its four car-park operating theatres open.

The mobile units were first put into use in 2021 following the Covid-19 to help with a backlog of operations.

They were initially granted permission to stay open for three years.

But Wandsworth Council has now approved plans to keep them open for elective surgeries up to December 2029.
