Queen Camilla is mourning the loss of her Battersea rescue dog, Beth.

The pup was adopted from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, of which Her Majesty is patron, in 2011.

It is understood Beth had an untreatable tumour and had to be put down at the weekend.

A spokesperson from the charity says, “We know how difficult it is to lose a beloved pet and Beth was very special indeed.”
