Pupils in Kingston have been learning to repair electronics as part of a programme to reduce waste and promote green careers.

A total of 134 students from Grand Avenue Primary, Tiffin Girl’s School and Alexandra Primary took part in Team Repair workshops.

The scheme saw pupils learn new skills, with more than two-thirds now more likely to fix items rather than throw them away.

The programme will return for a third year, with plans to reach more young people across the borough.
