Pupils from a school in Walton are marking a major milestone in construction at the site after new steel frames were laid

When completed, the new-look Hopescourt School will cater for up to 200 autistic pupils as well as those with communication needs.

The school, which will also offer outdoor learning and music for students aged 4 to 19, is due to reach capacity in 2029.

When completed, the new site will be Surrey’s first ‘Net Zero Carbon in Operation’ specialist free school.
