The Met Police said crime there fell by about 10% compared with the year before, including a drop in violence against women and girls.
The arrests included people wanted for serious offences such as rape and kidnap, as well as those breaching court orders.
Cameras were fixed along Croydon High Street, which police helped quickly identify and arrest wanted suspects.
