Police have arrested 42 people and seized tens of thousands of pounds worth of suspected stolen goods in a crackdown on rogue retailers.

In Hounslow, police seized 300 suspected stolen phones and £15,000 in cash, while a separate operation recovered stolen tools and led to 3 arrests.

In Clapham, two people were arrested after officers found £1,000 worth of meat, knives and Class B drugs at a shop.

The Met also issued closure notices to 11 shops as part of efforts to disrupt the sale of stolen goods.
