Police are urgently trying to locate the family of an 18-year-old man who was fatally stabbed in Balham.

Issa Ali Musa Abdulrahman Barakat was found injured in Laitwood Road at 6am on Monday morning but died in hospital later that day.

21-year-old Salah Al-Mahmoodi from Wandsworth has been charged with his murder and will appear in court later today.

Detective Chief Inspector Brian Howie says, “we hope that friends or extended family might help us in reaching his loved ones.”
