The 17 year old got off a bus on Hare Lane at the junction of Loseberry Road just after 1:30pm on Friday.
As she walked towards the railway bridge, a man in a dark vehicle pulled up alongside her and asked her to get into his car.
The car was old-style grey Audi with tinted windows, and he’s described as White, in his late twenties, large build with no beard.
Anyone with dashcam footage in the area at that time is being urged to contact police on 101.
