Police and Environment Agency officers have carried out a number of boat checks at Cigarette Island in East Molesey.

It’s after the council implemented a Public Spaces Protection Order focussing on unauthorised moorings.

We’re told checks on boat registrations will continue for a couple of weeks and penalties for fly tipping will be handed out.
