It’s after Wandsworth Council approved plans to build a new kidney facility at St George’s Hospital in Tooting.
The centre will bring together specialist inpatient care while strengthening outpatient services in other hospitals and clinics.
NHS bosses say the new facility will also help to deliver on plans to build a new hospital in Sutton.
The kidney facility has been designed with input from kidney patients.
