People in Barnes are being urged to take part in a number of volunteer days to help reduce flooding in Rocks Lane and Station Road.

The events are being led by group, Community BlueScapes.

Volunteers will help move gravel into new drains that direct rainwater off the roads and into Barnes Common instead.

Redirecting the water will help keep the common saturated in the event of future droughts.
