People in a part of Epsom have been praised for their quick-thinking in helping to detain a couple of would-be moped thieves.

Two people, both in balaclavas, were seen wheeling a bike from a garden on the 9th of March.

Residents called police and detained the suspects until officers arrived.

Two boys, 13 and 14, were arrested and bailed as investigations continue.
